Fat burning drinks are becoming popular as a weight loss method, they are easy to prepare, don’t require a lot of ingredients, and fit in with a busy lifestyle.

 Fat Burning Drinks

You can make fat burning drinks ahead and take them with you to work for a nutritious and healthy snack in a thermos, and they can give you that burst of energy you need to make it through the workday. They are much healthier than a canned energy drink that can be costly, because you know exactly what is in it. Many of the energy drinks on the market today are unhealthy and can be downright dangerous.

Green Tea

Green Tea is a healthy fat burning drink, full of antioxidants. Make it more flavorful by adding pear juice or peaches. Just run it through a blender with the fresh fruit. This works especially well if you want the benefits of the tea but don’t like the taste.

Holiday Tea

Another energizing, fat burning drink that you can make ahead for your thermos is so flavorful you might want to take extra to share. In a saucepan put one cup of cranberries, a cinnamon stick, two cups of water and heat. Strain and add honey and lemon. Serve hot or cold.

Berry Smoothie

For a great fat burning smoothie use a cup of strawberries, a half cup of blueberries, one cup of crushed ice and blend. You can also use any berries that are in season in your area. Use what you like – all berries are fat burners.

Deluxe Fat Burner

For the ultimate fat burning drink use a cup of grapefruit juice as your base. Add small slices of pears, apples, berries, or something more substantial like sweet potato. Blend with crushed ice until smooth and serve.

If you like your smoothie creamier, add a little soy milk or low-fat yogurt. Experiment with any of your favorite fruits and vegetables.

Vinegar Tea

Acetic Acid is found in vinegar. Studies have suggested that it not only causes fat loss, but it actually prevents the buildup of fat in the abdomen. Based on these studies an apple cider tea is made using 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 8 ounces of water. This tea is also reported to decrease blood glucose levels in diabetic patients. The diabetic patients took the two teaspoons of vinegar without mixing it in water, but it may be more palatable in water or juice. Do not take more than the two teaspoons per day. The chemical structure could potentially cause problems with the bodies acid/base balance.
